Begin with roasted duck with rice or noodles, 1 Michelin star 4-year streak. The price is also cheap. If you like soy sauce, and fermented duck for grilled and steamed, you will be satisfied with this one. It’s located in front of Chinatown, stop by if you come to this area.

Hong Peng La Mian Xiao Long Bao
Continue with another Singapore Michelin restaurant in 2017 and 2018 for Xiao Long Bao lovers. Even though they make it fast, the dough is a neat beautiful wrap and the soup is tasty bursting in your mouth. The taste is slightly sour but not too strong. If you like light food, you should try it.

Allauddin’s Briyani Pte Ltd
This time it is Indian food that tastes similar to Thai chicken Biryani. The rice is eaten with soup and the chicken will be topped with sauce, a pretty balanced taste. Especially for those who like herbal scents and strong food, typical Indian taste. The chicken is crispy outside and tender inside. You can try it at Tekka Centre.

Depot Road Zhen Shan Mei Laksa
Moving to Laksa Hot Pot guaranteed by the many-year streak Michelin star. The Hot Pot is served in a bowl not a clay pot like we get used to. The soup is creamy, the chili is dense and balanced, and the other ingredients are in acceptable portions. It tastes the best while still hot.

New Lucky Claypot Rice
This restaurant earns a 2017 – 2022 Michelin star plus many other rewards. They sell clay-pot rice, chicken, salted fish, and rice. While eating, you can try to add oil or dark sauce to add more flavor. There is lotus root soup to change the taste. Next Michelin star is for people who like unique glutinous noodles. You can choose noodle styles that you like: flat, rounded, or other. The ingredients are fresh, the soup is mellow, and the fish balls are homemade. If you don’t like the strong taste, this place will not disappoint you. Cheap and worth it. It’s located at Holland Drive Market & Food Center.

Cheng Heng Kway Chap and Braised Duck Rice
This Michelin restaurant is Duck Guay Jub with tasteful soup, yummy! Not too salty, tender duck meat, and easy chewing noodles. If you don’t want to eat duck, there are options for pork, guts, and pork skin. The order comes as a set and can add more, it’s not too expensive eating with the company. It’s also at Holland Drive Market & Food Center. The line is pretty long too.

Ghim Moh Chwee Kueh
This one is the great one you should try in Singapore Chwee Kueh, water rice cake looks like Khanom Krok. It’s made from rice flour originally from Teochew and served with pickled radish. Its taste is unique and delicious. They open early and the price is cheap, located in the Ghim Moh Road area.

Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle
Moving to Crawford Court food center with Michelin restaurant Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle, a famous pork noodle with a long queue. If you like noodles, there are various types topped with many ingredients and intense broth. It’s also good to eat dried. The Thais people come here a lot, so we recommend it to you too.

Heap Seng Leong
Walk from the previous location for a little bit and you will meet another Michelin restaurant for morning people who come for coffee. This shop is open from 5:00 in the morning selling toast, pan-fried eggs, drinks, and fried gyoza which are great. It’s a local store that is cheap, but with a long line. If you pass by, you should try and you won’t be disappointed.

Next, we have Michelin stars and 70 years of legendary duck rice restaurants. If you like a single dish, they give you a lot of duck meat. Let’s move to restaurants in a department store, City Square Mall 4th floor. Various Indonesian and Malaysian cuisines look like food express with 1 or 2 entrees in Thailand. Even though there are many seats, the queues are so long. If you come to Singapore and want to try lamb or beef, you should visit here and you will love it.

Pin Wei Hong Kong Style Chee Cheong Fun
If you want to try rice noodle rolls, you should come to this dining room. It’s another Michelin star with so many people lining up. If you want to try a decent rice noodle roll, this dining room is at Pek Kio Market & Food Centre.

Sheng Seng Fried Prawn Noodles

Boon Tong Kee @ Balestier
This is a Michelin star and top-class chicken rice in Singapore that you might see in Thai department stores. The original is here if you want to try the authentic chicken and sauce, so delectable. It’s not even close to what we had in Thailand, you won’t be disappointed. The taste in Thailand will be completely forgotten after you try this.

Huat Heng Fried Oyster
It’s fried oysterrr! This one doesn’t use cockles like in Thailand, they use oysters. The taste and smell are yummy and look like an oyster omelet, crispy and soft combined. Hot serve is the best but you have to wait quite a while because the uncle is finely cooking for us.

Xin Mei Xiang Zheng Zong Lor Mee
Another Michelin star that Singaporeans usually come to. If you want to try this one, you should come quite early because they sell out very fast, noodles, broth, and other ingredients. The portion is huge and full of ingredients, no doubt that’s why people come here a lot.

Hua Kee Hougang Famous Wan Ton Mee
This is another noodle restaurant; its noodles are greasy, glutinous, and flavorful broth. Having while hungry is the best; however, those who don’t like greasy meals wouldn’t like it that much. Overall it is great and has a long line. The owner is so kind and friendly and chit-chats all the time. It’s located at Old Airport Road Food Center.

Teochew Handmade Pau
Next Michelin is a bun shop, Teochew Handmade Pau. It’s a homemade mini bun with red pork flavor, salt, and lean pork blended very well and the bun is so soft, not too much filling. They have buns and dumplings; a bun is a must to try if you have a chance to visit here.

Lau Sim Shredded Chicken Noodles
This Michelin Singapore is a noodle restaurant, but it’s not just a normal noodle restaurant because of its fish dumplings. It’s fresh and homemade from the ingredients until served. It’s very popular among Singaporeans, but foreigners don’t know much about it. They open at 7:00 and close early because they ran out of ingredients rapidly. If you want to try, you should come before 9:00.

Pondok Makan Indonesia
This Michelin one is Indonesian noodle style in Singapore. Beef broth is outstanding and other Indonesian cuisines such as salad, cabbage with rice ball mixed, and chicken satay with its special sauce. If you have a chance to come, just try everything.

Jian Bo Shui Kueh
Another Michelin in Singapore, a popular rice cake store. Something that enhances the taste is its sauce made from vegetables, sesame, dried shrimp, and chili topped on the rice cake. It makes rice cake flavorful and spicy. There are so many branches in Singapore, so it’s easy to find one. The branch that we went to is located on Tiong Bahru Market’s 2nd floor (It’s another popular branch).

Nasi Lemak Ayam Taliwang
This Michelin has many branches and the one we visited is at the National Museum. It’s a grilled chicken fermented with an original Indonesian sauce style. There are various menus to try and the special one is chicken, it’s tender and with sauce is superb and a little hot. It’s so crowded during the day, so coming in the evening might be better, a lot faster from seeing the line. The store doesn’t accept cash.
